Nirvana

 Nirvana निर्वाण is a concept in several Indian religions (Buddhism, Jainism, Hinduism, Sikhism) which refers to the ultimate state of enlightenment, of being free from suffering of desire, hatred, and passion, and the end of the cycle of rebirth. 

It comes from the Sanskrit word nirvana निर्वाण meaning "extinguished, blown out", combined of nir- निर्- (out) and vana वा॒न (blown), both descended from PIE root words. 

As a given name Nirvana is used for boys and girls in India. In English-speaking countries, Nirvana is primarily used as a girl's name, likely popularized by the American band Nirvana, formed in 1987.
