Navi नवी  is an Indian unisex name meaning "new", derived from Sanskrit navīna नवीन (new, fresh, young).

Navi נְבִיא also comes from a Hebrew word meaning "prophet", from Hebrew root word (n-b-ʾ) נ־ב־א, related to prediction and prophesy, which ultimately derives from a Proto-Semitic origin.
